Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

The RAF Air Cadets have participated in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme since 1956 when they were invited to pilot the system.

It is considered a core subject, with all cadets expected to complete their Bronze level award.  The registration fee for Bronze is included in your joining fee.  There are additional costs for the expeditions, but these are kept to the minimum and the Squadron does not make a profit from these additional costs.
